Full Shade to Full Sun (Can Grow In Most Sunlight Conditions) Height 8 - 10 Feet Width 2 - 4 Feet Growing Zones 5-7 Stonehenge® Yew is a tall, narrow evergreen that is perfect for a narrow space. It is grown for its textured deep green foliage. Stonehenge® Yew is easy to take care of so no worries about pruning. The shrub is one of the most shade tolerant evergreens, growing in full shade to full sun. Hardy in zones 5a to 7b, the plant can be used in a hedge, on a border, container, landscape, mass plantings, and as a specimen plant. Stonehenge® Yew is originally from the western, southern, and central Europe, northwest Africa, northern Iran, and southwest Asia. The needles, berries, and bark of the yew are poisonous. Deer will eat yew shrubs, so it may get eaten if there are lots of deer in your area. Stonehenge® Yew Care Stonehenge® Yew is considered easy to care for and grows fast. It can be grown in full shade all the way to full sun. It has moderate moisture needs but demands well drained soil. Each spring, fertilize with a slow-release fertilizer formulated for trees and shrubs. The bushes do not need to be pruned, although it may be cut to control its height. It benefits from mulch placed around the base to help retain moisture and add nutrients to the soil. Stonehenge® Yew Spacing Stonehenge® Yew is tall, growing 8-10 feet tall and narrow, spreading only 2-4 feet. It can be planted between 2-4 feet of other plants or buildings.
